How to Kerdi board to it?

I will fir out where the studs arent flush to tub... But lost as to how to lay kerdi board?

That's a soaking tub, not made to have a shower, as bad a shape it looks like it is it's time for a new tub with a flange on it.

thanks for replying.... but its not a soaking tub. standard tub... and that is just caulk and grout stain the wife has yet to clean off... its a standard tub under shower from the 70s... had drywall with mortar bed and lathe and tile that I took off..... the drwall and mortar bed is like an inch thick from the old days... if not more... and came right down to the tub deck with grout.
