No 95 Tinning Flux or No 5 Solder Paste

In the past I used No 95. I have both here and I'm wondering what you guys recommend for soldering a shower valve to the hot and cold copper lines.

There are several fluxes on the market but I always used No 5 Flux for 30yrs. I can't remember using a tinning flux....
On occasion, I have resorted to Nokorode flux

#5 Tinning flux is great for beginners. It automatically tins the joint, but the joints won't look as good as joints with #5.
