I am a newbie and have had an A/C installed about 2 years ago. Its a trane xl14i. I have recently noticed that the air pulsed in the rooms is not cold. The thermostat is functioning properly and switch on/off the unit adequately.
After having the unit running for a while, I would expect the tube (covered with foam) that connect the outside heatpump to the house to be extremely cold. It is not the case at all.
I would appreciate some help on troubleshooting the issue.

Thanks
Eric

The large line in that insulated tube should be cold and sweating at the outdoor unit. It may be low on freon and you should call the installer or a tech. Running low on freon can damage the unit. Part of the repair may be under warranty.
