Hello all,
I just joined this forum. I live in western New York State. I work as a forester, in the logging business. this gives me access to a great deal of fine hard and softwood species, so I became a woodworker 12 years ago. It changed my life, became less a hobby and more a way of life.
I make mostly furniture and cabinets, but enjoy tackling any woodworking challenge, including woodworking machines (built from plans) and more decorative stuff. I look forward to perusing these pages to see all of your projects!

Hi Pete and welcome to the forum.
I have 2 very good friends who are/were foresters and love their work. One was the first lady forester to graduate from the university of Maine, now retired. The other works for Huber somewhere in the states, OK I think now. A great background.
