Hello all,

I am considering buying a Co-Op in NYC and the space is tight (400+ square feet). Overall it's enough space, but certain items are annoying. For instance, there's a seperate dressing room. I would like to move one wall two feet and and other wall turn into a "half wall."

Also, the kitchen is really small, so I'd like to remove it, turn it into a closet, and move the kitchen along the wall in the living room and add an island.

A) Is this possible?
B) How expensive would each of these improvements cost?
C) Any other info would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks.

400 sq. ft????? Want to rent my garage?

You are asking impossible questions without some sort of floorplan. You really need to focus on moving the kitch. due to the drain and water lines.

Dealing with Co-op boards in NY area is no picnic. You might want to look into what is "allowed" before you even start planning.
