New Siding, New Capping?

532 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  joetab24
Back of our house. Just got new siding, and on the side and front of the house we are getting new capping installed. In those section the capping was really beat up. I am not sure we need it in the back. After the old siding was removed the old capping and the caulk separated. If I choose to keep, would I just try to remove the old caulk and add new caulk? A bad move trying to keep it? Wanted to run it by you guys before I spoke to the contractor, who isn't finished yet, but I am not sure what he will do with the capping. Assuming he will add caulk, but I need to talk to him.

That's wrapping, not capping.
Your right just remove the old caulk and apply new.
