I'm building a new front entry and need to tie-in new roof to old. Old roof is a 4-12 pitch and new will be 8-12.
The addition is 11' wide x 6' and will tie new gable to slope. (Not sure of the right terms for the slant side of the roof)
Do I need to cut the old roof overhang (eaves) off (flush to the wall) to tie-in new roof?
