Thanks
This site has been a real help to me on my latest project
There are some very qualified & talented people on here - DIY & Pro's
It's always nice to have sounding board to bounce ideas off of
And constructive criticism helps me build better
I've actually decided to go with 6x6 posts (instead of 4x6) on my 2nd floor 6x12 deck as a result of the feed back from this site
Glad to be on board

Congrats Dave

Please remember the little people!

You don't have a dog who carries a stick do you?

:whistling2:
No but I do have a cat with very sharp claws named Bustah
Tried to login over there - IE can't even find the site
I heard they were hacked at some point......

Ah...spoke too soon, was just able to login
Last time was just over 6 months ago
But - I can't access the forums - "unscheduled maintenance"

I wish, I'm only about 1/2 way up
Last weekend was my son's Bday party - so no work
Monday coming up is the wife's Bday
Past 2 days were nice - but too hot, shingles start to melt
I did get some done - early morning & then more when the wife gets home
Sunday & Monday look to be hot again
We went from a rainy Spring right to 78-80+ sunny weather

My son is only in daycare 2 days a week, so limited time I can work on things. Wife objects to me tying a rope to him & bringing him on the roof

Let me join the Mule-Train in offering [well deserved] Congrats. The name SCUBA DAVE stands out in all the forums. Be it Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC or General Construction. The expertise that you demonstrate is amazing. And the helpful advice that you dish out is a mainstay of this blog. As for myself, I will stick mostly to my field of "Expertise". In one of the early posts on this forum I related what [almost] happened when I ventured out of my range of experience. While working on a maintenance detail at a major Health related facility,we were trying to unclog a waste line on the Second floor. One of the "crazy" things that crossed my mind was to open a Clean-out Plug on a 4" line that ran horizontally through the Dining room. Had I done that, we can't even begin to imagine the "disaster" that would have ensued as a result of my action.:yes::no::thumbup::cowboy::drink:Don't Drink and Drive!!!

Congratulations

Congratulations Dave,

I commend your knowledge in the trades and your willingness to jump in and get the information and the tools to get the job done.

You made points when on an early thread you replied to a nit picking comment that hey this is a DIY forum.

I think you will excel as a moderator in that you will not be a wimp, you will not be super critical of posters as to content or thread drift.
