First time home-buyer living in VA. We bought a 15 year old single family home from my wife's parents. Pretty good price, upgraded kitchen, and knowledge of the ins and outs and peculiarities of the house made it a good deal. I've been living here a year and have started to realize how much work it can take to keep a house up, not to mention how much money. It really seems like you can't get too far behind on repairs, or they just keep piling up!
