New Grass Seed in Colorado Snow Storm

901 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  cibula11
Hello,

I just noticed today that my grass seed started to come up! Unfortunately, I live in Colorado, and we are getting a rather large snow storm. The temperature forecast over the next two days predicts temperatures mostly over 34 degrees Fahrenheit. Is my seeding grass going to see a decrease in yield due to the weather this weekend in Colorado?

I lived in CO for 27 years. You'll be fine. The snow will be a good thing as it warms up over the next few days. The moisture will soak in and help the roots take hold.

if it was going to be 10 below zero, as I've seen this time of year a few times. the seedlings might be damaged, but 34 degrees shouldn't ba problem.
