Hello,

I just noticed today that my grass seed started to come up! Unfortunately, I live in Colorado, and we are getting a rather large snow storm. The temperature forecast over the next two days predicts temperatures mostly over 34 degrees Fahrenheit. Is my seeding grass going to see a decrease in yield due to the weather this weekend in Colorado?

funny, i was just thinking about going out and buying some grass seed to throw down before this storm.

You'll be fine, and this is a weekend you won't have to spend making sure the seedlings are nice and moist.

I lived in CO for 27 years. You'll be fine. The snow will be a good thing as it warms up over the next few days. The moisture will soak in and help the roots take hold.

if it was going to be 10 below zero, as I've seen this time of year a few times. the seedlings might be damaged, but 34 degrees shouldn't ba problem.

No worries. It's often practiced to add seed during winter. The freeze/thaw works the seed into the soil and it will germinate when temps rise in the spring. Grass won't be impacted negatively by the storm or dip in temps.
