I am removing and old electric cooktop and replacing it with a Gas Oven in the kitchen. I need to install a 120 volt receptacle. Do I need a new 120 volt circuit for that or can I tap into an existing 120 volt circuit?

You can tap off an existing outlet.

I wish these were available and compliant in the US. They are in Canada under the CEC.
