I have one of those dated 90's gas firebox inserts. I recently remodeled the fireplace surround and mantel. I put shiplap to the ceiling and down the sides of the fireplace and put in faux stone around the firebox.

Do you think you could put something like this on the gas firebox... if i could find one with the right dimensions? I'd run more stone at the bottom of the firebox and modify some of the stone that borders the firebox.
