Hi,

I just purchased a toilet repair kit which includes the moen m5350 fill valve. After installation, everything seemed to work correctly. However, the toilet no longer refills after flushing. If I pull the refill tube out, and move it, the toilet begins to refill (water starts coming out of the refill tube also). Sometimes it may actually refill following a flush, and sometimes it won't.

The fill valve and flush valve are somewhat level. Would cutting down the flush valve such that the fill valve is above it solve this problem?

Thanks.

So you move the flexable tube that goes to the overflow off and it starts to work? That's an odd one. Is the float getting stuck? If so is it impeded by anything? If it's not an issue of the float sticking I'd just put a new Fluidmaster fill valve in and call it a day. It's eight bucks and takes five minutes.
