After searching around for months, my wife and I finally found a chandelier we loved for our dining room, however we weren't too keen on the price... The light we found was the Lucca 6-light chandelier from Pottery Barn, priced at $599 during the time of the project. I then jumped on Amazon and found a nearly perfect lookalike for just over $100, so I ordered it and was really happy with the overall quality.
With the chandelier ready to install, we came to the conclusion that we weren't the biggest fans of the chain+exposed cord, so I was able to track down a couple stems that were a perfect match in color, and installed those. The main issue I ran into was the new stem's thread size didn't match the canopy mount, so after some hammering, Dremeling, and painting, I was finally able to get everything to match up. Now we basically have the Pottery Barn Lucca, but customized to our liking, and for roughly 1/5 the price. Tossed in some Edison bulbs and it looks fantastic in person. Next project is wiring up a dimmer to the chandelier so it doesn't turn on with the bright LED overheads.
Attached is a picture of the original chandelier that looked like something off the Titanic, as well as an after pic of the new light. Below are links to the Pottery Barn Lucca, the lookalike I picked up, and the rods used in the chain delete. Enjoy!
NOTE: The new chandelier stem was a little crooked when the picture was taken. It has since been corrected.
