I'm trying to replace a ceiling light fixture that hasn't worked in a very long time. When I just changed the fluorescent circle bulb, it only ever glowed slightly, it never really lit up.
I took down the old fixture and left all the wires as they were, see photo. It looks like two blacks with a white, two whites, a single black and a ground. The wall switch would be directly up twelve o'clock in the picture. I would rather not try to connect the new light without getting some advice. I was expecting a simple black/black white/white connection.
I appreciate any help getting this light back on again. Thanks.
