We are building an addition onto our current home. The framing is complete and the roof tiles (concrete) are loaded onto the roof. How long until we can begin stucco? I know the tiles should sit and settle the addition but Im not sure for how long.

I have never heard of such a thing.

Start stucco when you want or when it is scheduled to start I guess.

I was told that if the stucco is done soon after the weight of the roof tiles being loaded that the stucco has a greater chance of cracking.

Stucco has absolutely nothing to do with the weight bearing capabilities of the foundation. Put it on as soon or as late as you wish.

If you want the stucco not to crack, your installer needs to use a polymer-modified base coat and mesh system. Anything else is just smoke and mirrors.
