Needed: Quick delivery on 24"W 24"D 84"H Kitchen Pantry? (or other) Cabinet 4 Bedroom

Quick background: Out of space in small room - need to get things off floor - can't find a good cabinet anywhere 24" wide. Ameriwood is horrific. Came in many broken PB pieces.

Don't need anything fancy, expensive etc. Hopefully short-term usage, but would like it to look somewhat nice during its use with a dark wood.

I have seen several cabinets online - dont know who is who or what is what as far as quality is concerned... will not do the PB pieces - need solid wood.

Ill fasten it to the wall with problem a couple of screws going into the wall with metal studs between townhouses.

I would like to be able to order one / have one delivered in very short order. If it comes down to being unstained, or black, so be it. I'm open to alternate suggestions - but trying to maximize space usage so 24" W x 24" D X 84" H is idea. Can be just a little smaller on width, taller or shorter or height, or a little shallower or deeper on depth - but can't be more than 24" wide - maximum exactly.

Links to places would be great. I'm kinda counting on folks here because I can't seem to find anything that isnt PB crap at Lowes, or it has a longer than desired (1-2 week) delivery time.

I would be even willing to mount two wall cabinets on top of each other although from the wall cabinets I could find it would only give me 60" high.

On the other hand I thought about mounting 2 floor cabinets - but can't seem to come up with a good plan with that because of increased work due to the edging on top and the drawers. (would be great to have two drawers in center though ;) ).

If I could find any other cabinets - doesn't have to be kitchen - in this same sizing - and a dark brown - I'm very open to that. Just trying to keep it relatively non-expensive - on fixed income due to perm injuries.

Never heard of an emergency kitchen before, but the quickest way would be to buy ready to assemble cabinets.
Ikea makes a decent product..

I looked at IKEA but only saw some cabinets on 4 tall metal legs made out of particle board. Did you find something else in these dimensions? I couldn't. I found solid wood pantries for kitchens but none readily available to be here in a week to 2 weeks.

If you found a good one at ikea not made of PB coulld you link it? Thx

As far as I know it's all particleboard.
You're time frame and quality issue are severely at odds with one another.

we bought our cabinets from www,cabinetsdirectrta.com
all plywood boxes and solid wood face frames and doors.
the price was the best we found online. they ship out of chicago.
they have 15% off on the chocolate maple this month.
they have the pantry cabinets 24" deep. the other places we looked the pantry cabinets were 27 inches deep and wouldnt work in our kitchen.

Sounds very plausible and possible - depending on shipping speed/charges... going to the link now.

So I went there, like no tax, no shipping and maybe fast delivery if I am willing to pay between 600+ for one 24x84x24. If I was still working not disabled Id buy it - especially made in the USA. I was hoping to find something for about half that - but still solid wood and same conditions. Am I dreaming or do I need to pay 640+ for one of my specs? I realize the free delivery is a steal with most companies charging 150+ for freight. So I guess I was hoping something more in the line of 400 w/ shipping. I would even be willing to take one with minor flaws - or at the rate Im going I might end up with a piece of plastic in the room just to get things off the floors.

that was one of the things we liked we got all of our cabinets delivered for free. I went back and checked and they have raised their prices since we got our cabinets. there are numerous places offering similar cabinets, check some other sites. the expresso shaker is 502.00 for the 24x84 cabinet. when we got ours it was 475.00 but they had 40% off when we ordered. i guess they were selling a lot of cabinets and decided to raise their prices.

Instead of kitchen cabinets, have you looked at bedroom wardrobes? Ikea's start at $50, but would be more like $300 for the look you described. It's likely a PB construction, but if it's only going to be short-term, why bother spending double just to say it's solid wood? The PB will look and work fine during short-term usage (a few years).

If I could get 40% off the expresso or others- Id buy today... (anyone from the dealer listening? ;)) Would be helpful if they had them in stock. 'Times keeps on slipping slipping slippping... into the future....' (couldn't resist, its late)

Seriously though I would buy with a sale like that. This Obamaflation is crazy:furious: - don't count the gas or the good in the index... and no theres little inflation... count the gas/food etc (essentials of living) - inflations is out of control... hence my need/desire to keep prices low... never know how high prices are going to get with $5 gasoline this summer.:censored:

Actually, this one is made from solid pine, except for the drawer bottom.

EDIT, do, didn't see it couldn't be more than 24" wide. Sorry
Would have been perfect if it was 24" thin although couldn't find other dimensions..

Not sure what I will do considering my time frame is now under 2 weeks. I might have to go with unfinished 18" but thats a lot of space lost. (6"x84"x24" lost out of 24"x84"x24")... oh the joys of stacking your stuff higher and higher. Maybe they did have an unfinished 24".. but not sure how deep... (lowes or home depot) but I suspect strongly its particle board.

I wonder how much a DIY wood crafter would charge... ;)
