Hi,

We're redoing a small bathroom (3' x 6') and in a bit of a time crunch.
We'll start grouting at 3:00pm today, and then we'll need to start immediately working on other jobs in the space. (We need to grout to allow full dry time prior to installing vanity/toilet).

We're using Bostik Premixed grout, which has a dry time of 24-48 hours.

Ideas? We're thinking of laying 5/8 plywood over the tile to allow us to walk without disturbing the grout. Is this ok?

Thanks.

You would be better off to just allow the time for the grout to set up. What is so critical time wise that you can't wait? If you are going to go through the trouble of all the work, do it right the first time, don't rush it for the sake of finishing at a certain time.

Gotta agree with firehawkph on this one. To add, why are you doing the grout NOW if there are other things needing done in the space. Any tile work that I have done, well, I have waited to do the grout last.
