i decided to redo some type B venting in which i already put screws in order to stop upstream joints from twisting. i used 1/4" screws. was wondering if those holes will be an issue if i just leave them and put new screws in other places more convenient to the new layout.

thanks

the moisture in the flue gas will eventually corrode those holes larger and larger. I would leave screws in them or seal them with silver foil tape or red rtv high temp silicone. small pieces of silver foil tape from HDepot on the joints would be better than perforating any B vent. it is NOT supposed to be perforated. the type we use has spring loaded clamps to hold the sections together and they don't slip when installing due to the pressure of the clamps.
