My shed is pretty good, but there are a few specific items that are always in the way and I can't find a good way to store:
My weed-wacker, and these giant plastic ramps for my truck.

So the problem with the ramps is that while they do have a hole near the top for hanging them up, the whole is a very small diameter. And they are heavy so I need some kind of long, very strong yet thin rod I could somehow attach to the wall. While I want to drill the hole out larger, I really don't want to mess with that give how my life depends on those ramps when I'm under my truck behind held up by them.

Second, the weed-wacker. These things are such pain in the ass to store. My previous one had a flat bottom so I could put its base on the first hook and it would at least stay in place. But even that was a pain because the thing is so long, it ruins tons of wall space. And as you can see in the picture, this one doesn't even stay in place, it falls over easily. Ideally I need some way to store it vertically on the wall, in a way I can easily grab it when using it during the summer, but in a way where it won't fall down. The only thing I can think of is one of those quick release arms used in bike shops to hold the bike while they're working on it. They make those in a wall-mountable form. But that's probably going to be a lot more money than I want to spend on weed-wacker storage. Any suggestions here?

I like getting stuff off the floor. For the weed-whacker, look around for a wall hook that holds it around the motor-shaft connector (unless it has something for a hook to grab):

You can either lag it into a stud or run a 2x4 across some studs to hang more stuff.
For the ramps, anything on the bottom? Using those top side holes will make them hang funny.

I have a few 2x4's going horizontal on the wall. I pounded pairs of really big nails in. My weed whacker just hangs by the head between 2 nails just like my shovels and other long tools. My ramps are on the floor, tucked under my shelves.

I use a similar one to this, you can hang it by the motor or by the string shield neck. The little hook can be for a cord, blower, or hedge clipper. There are a few styles, some padded, all under $15.

My ramps are hung on J hooks, but they are metal, so I don't know how the plastic ones looks underneath. But if you drill the hole bigger on the slope, your truck is supported over the other end without the hole anyway.

Maybe the thickest 3-1/2" galvanized finish nail you can find would be sufficient for the ramps? Point it up at a little angle to prevent the ramp from falling off. But I can't imagine finding them in smaller quantity than a one-pound box.

That's an interesting option. Does being wedged between the metal prongs tend to crack and break the plastic housing over time though?

I don't foresee that and haven't seen that happen, the trimmers are fairly lightweight so don't put much pressure to fall between the hooks. They do have padded though which may eliminate that risk, the one on AMZ is cheaper than the picture I show of just metal.

I got one of these mounted today at Lowes. It really isn't a good fit for my weed wacker. I don't have enough hands to hold both and take a photo, but it doesn't really "cradle" my weed wacker. It just sort of sits on the tips of the prongs in a way where one little bump could easily knock it on to the floor.

But I had some inspiration while I was looking at this, and realized my giant clip fits around the pole very easily and when you put weight on it, the puts the weight on on the base of the handle, in to the hook. If I had pictures it would be a lot more clear. But I'm thinking I'll just tie one of those hooks to the ceiling and let the weed wacker hang off of that. I'll try it come spring time and see how it goes.

I've always liked to make my own stuff when possible, maybe because of living rural and that's how it's always been without a Lowes across the street. As a DIY'er I find S hooks easy to make and handy. By making those myself most any size end loops or length is possible. With a good supply of 1/8" welding rod I'll never be allowed to weld with, I'm all set in the supply department. The flux can be removed in about 10 seconds by spinning it and if they need to be a little more handsome a piece of emery tape will do that in about another 10 seconds

For my weed wacker I drove a nail into the side of a ceiling joist and made a loop of rope to hang from the nail. To hang the weed wacker I take the hanging end of the rope loop, put it around the weed walker and put the end of the loop on the nail. The rope makes a cradle to support the tool, it gets it off the floor and saves wall space. Just have to position the rope on the weed wacker so it is balanced. I put the loop close to the back wall so I don’t whack my head on the wacker.

Georgepag seems like a person that would benefit from the- Clove Hitch - knot and the improved - quick release - Clove Hitch - knot.

I tired of attempting to store mine in the garage so it hangs vertical out in a tree engine down.
