Need to replace a broken porcelain lampholder with pullchain and one grounded outlet integrated into it. Do people here have a preference for Cooper, or Leviton? Also I've noticed that some models say side-wired and some top-wired. What's the difference (is one easier to wire), and any preference? Thanks.

Side wire the metal screw base is held in place by a ceramic nut and is removable. Top wired is fixed I think. Side wired might be marginally safer with a really shallow box.

Now that I think about it, I don't recall side wire with an outlet included but it may be made.
