I'm mounting a strip at a closet shelf and need one that has the receptacles oriented against the long axis of the strip.

It only takes one big transformer to crowd over another receptacle and waste a slot.

I need at least a 6-outlet strip. I see monster makes one but it's not as wide as I need. Also, it should be a single row--small space constraints.

Thoughts?

My thought is that I don't like outlets in closets to begin with, so an outlet in a closet and a power strip doesn't sound like a good idea to me. JMO

Just shop around. There are TONS of different kind of power strips out there.

I will say, I agree with Kbuz on this one. A power strip in a closet sounds like a bad idea.

Thoughts on an alternative? I'm not against putting in an AFCI, but I need 5 or so plugs. It's not a walk-in--just a shallow closet under the stairs. There are no garments above or below. It would be about 5' above the floor.
