Hello,

I have some vintage lamp sockets Made in U.S.A., but I am missing set screws for a few sockets,
I checked pitch of its part by a inch screw pitch gauge, it is 40 threads per inch (not 8-32)
I also checked all thread diameter is approx.0.1595" I want to know the correct size
of set screw thread of lamp socket, Please let me know about it

Usually, 40 threads per inch would be associated with a #4 screw, but with a diameter of .159 inches, you might be dealing with a #6 there.

Some hardware stores have bins with small compartments that feature hard-to-find small screws and accessories ... I'd start looking there.

Hi KB, Thanks for your reply, I am in a minor disturbance, I think a #6-40 is a little bit small, I wonder if it is not #8-40 UNS tpi
