Any plans or pics would be appreciated I am looking to build rear speaker stands for my surround sound looking for something that would hide the wires and looke clean.

This is impossible to answer without pictures of the space the speakers occupy.

Easiest way to run speaker wires along the wall, but hidden would be to remove the base molding and cut a groove in the drywall for the wires. There might even be an open space at the bottom of the wall you can use. You just need to be very careful about the nails you put in to reinstall the molding.

Once the wire is in the drywall groove, I'm assuming go right over with joint compound, primer, and paint?
I wouldn't do that. You just staple the wire in the groove and put back the molding.

Oh my mistake... I didn't read close enough... you were referring to running along the bottom of the wall, I was wondering what happens once you reach the point in the wall you want to lift the speaker up vertically (if you are mounting on the wall I guess)? Sorry to hijack the post...
If you want to install the speaker up on the wall ,you would get to the bay you want, cut a hole for the oulet box and snake the wires up from the floor.
