need help building rear speaker stands

Any plans or pics would be appreciated I am looking to build rear speaker stands for my surround sound looking for something that would hide the wires and looke clean.

have no pics it is a very open space I want to put them on each side of the couch I was thinking of flush mounting them to the wall but never ran wires through the wall before thanks for the help
