Hello,

I recently framed for a new bathroom. I need to add the peatrap for the sink. Do I need to make a hole through all the 2x4's to reach the ejector pit? I cannot run the PVC behind the framing. I am 4in's or smaller away from the basement wall. What size PVC do I use?

Most bathroom sinks have 1-1/4" in the exposed plumbing and trap and then jump to 1-1/2" at the wall. The piping behind the wall will be 1-1/2". Since I cannot see your options, I cannot say how to run the pipes, but you also need a vent tied in.
