Need advice for installing 3 way Wemo Switch

Hello! Would really appreciate your help with replacing one of my three-way light switch with the Wemo Smart 3-way switch that I am having some trouble finding out how to wire this online.

Switch #1
-----------
14/2 - Source Black/Neutral/Ground
14/2 - Black/White/Ground going to light fixture
14/3 - Black/White/Red/Ground going to 2nd switch

Switch #2
-----------
14/3 - Black/White Red/Ground coming from Switch #1

How can I replace switch #1 with the Wemo three light way light switch?

If I am reading this correctly, you have 3 cables entering the first switch box, correct?

Correct! Source, one going to the light, one going to switch #2
Alright.

On the current 3 was switch at location #1, you'll have 2 travelers connected to brass colored screws, as well as another wire attached to a black colored screw. The wire from the dark coloured screw will connect to the black wire on your smart switch.

The other 2 wires will connect to the red and blue wires labeled travelers on your smart switch. One to each wire.

Green wire is ground, it connects to the ground wires in the box.

White wire has to connect to the neutral wires in the box. It should be 2 white wires connected together. You'll connect this white wire to those 2 other white wires.

Does this make sense? If it doesn't, take a photo of the wiring in switch box #1 and I'll make it more detailed for you.

I understand but somehow it's not working.

Neutral tied to light fixture & Wemo switch

Switch #2
Red traveler from Switch 1
white traveler from Switch 1
Ground traveler from Switch 1
Power from Switch 1 to Common

I updated the post to be as detailed as possible.

I believe I do not have the normal configuration of Switch > Switch > Light.

It goes Switch > Light > Switch

I found an image of the setup I currently have at my home.

Hmm after doing more research, I think its possible my switch may be the issue?

Switch 1
---------
Power to switch 2 common
Neutral to smart switch and light fixture
Load from smart switch to light fixture
Travel 1 to switch 2
Travel 2 to switch 2
Ground to ground

Switch 2
---------
Power form Switch 1 to Common
Travel 1 from switch 1 to travel 1
Travel 2 from switch 1 to travel 2
Ground from switch 1 to ground

It appears that you have wired it correctly.

The only other thing left to try would be feed power to the smart switch first.

To do this, you would have to disconnect the wire that brings power into the first box, connect the smart switch's black wire to it, and connect the wire that is the common on switch #2 to the wire that goes to the light fixture.

This would send power to the smart switch first, then to the 2nd switch, then the light.

If this doesn't work, I'm out of ideas.

Thanks for the suggestion. Still the same issue.

I knew I wasn't crazy....

Man, that sucks.

Then that smart switch may be a dud.
