My brother is planing on redoing the trim and crown molding threw his house. He is in need of a electric finish nailer or stapler for this job. What ones do you recommend in the $100 range if any? I would like to give it for a Christmas present.

Thanks,

Rod

Cordless nailers cost much more than $100. Last time I looked, Senco seemed to be best, aside from Paslode which is not electric, but both are over 300.00 and don't cross over to other tools. Don't use staplers to put up trim. I'd say a gift card or cash and let him use it as he likes.

for cordless guns bosch, dewalt, rigid and senco all make battery operated models.. the ridgid is a piece of junk, the bosch isnt very common

paslode, hitachi and bostich make guns that operate on gas and battery.. the paslode is the original cordless gun and well worth teh extra money though they run about $400

An electric one would be use less on anything but the lightest of trim and the nails will not be long enough.

Going to need 15 or 16 gauge nails.

Why not pneumatic? I have a recon Hitachi finish nailer 2.5" and a recon Hitachi Stapler 1.5" that I love. Paslode FS350S Framer due to the weight.
