I want to paint my aluminum windows white. I am planning on using zinsser 123 for the primer. They sell it in a spray can. Are there any decent spray paints on the market? Will rustoleum enamel work?

Clean window frames with Laquer thinner, sand lightly then prime with a zinc oxide primer (you may have to get this from a boat supply) then finish with any good gloss paint

Do I need a zinc oxide primer if the aluminum is already painted? The factory finish is black. The paint is still in decent condition; it is just fading badly. Do you recommend scuffing/sanding the black paint? This might expose some of the bare aluminum.
