I need to run a low voltage multiconductor cable (30V) through the attic above an attached garage. I'm wondering about the flame test rating & temperature requirements.

1) Is riser rated cable required? I believe not, though I'm looking for confirmation on this.

2) What temperature rating is required?

As a reference, I looked at the existing NM-B romex already present in the attic. The specs say it's 90 C, but do not mention flame test rating. Since romex is running throughout 2 floors and a basement, does that mean romex is riser rated? Or is residential an exception for multi-level wires?
