Older Miller-type package unit in mobile home/single wide, AC only. Replacing 12" dia. supply line only, not the return line (insulated flex air duct).

Nashua WaterProofing Aluminum Repair Tape sufficient for sealing the connections to the sheet metal collars on back of the p-unit (ok, "transitions" if you prefer, if that's correct?). Same collar-type connection on the other end of the flex air duct at the sheet metal collar connection of the main heating supply duct. Well, I know it will seal the connections just fine, but wondering if the waterproofing will last thru summer rains and winter temps.

We always put a couple (or three when possible) hex head screws into the collars so the internal spiral-wound wire supporting the air duct grabs the hex heads to keep them from being pulled off by the Grizzly Bears and the Polar Bears that hang out in these mobile home crawl spaces. Have a better way?
