Went grocery yesterday, 2 places. I keep 2 masks in the car. HDX (homedepot) and 3M. Been using them since late feb or early march. Not a lot of use since I work from home.
Have found: HDX becomes clogged lot earlier. Not from dust, but I think moisture in the breath. HDX also makes my glasses more foggy. HDX is cheaper but may not be a good value.

My glasses fog unless I use a mask with an exhaust valve. That kind of mask can protect me from someone else who is sick but since I breathe out through the valve it is not so good at protecting others from me if I am sick. I found a bag of them in my barn, I forgot I had them

I have some HDX as well and they are made in China. 3M were not available. I've haven't used any as I have some 3M from a few years ago that seem to work fine. To be honest I doubt I will get to use the HDX as I rarely go out and need will be going down in a month or so.

Primary reason for me to wear them is to not get threshed when I get into a coughing fit.

Excellent point. I've never used one.

"Respirators with exhalation valves can be used in a healthcare setting when it is not important to maintain a sterile field (an example of an acceptable practice would be when taking the temperature or blood pressure of a patient). Respirators with exhalation valves should not be used in situations where a sterile field is required (e.g., during an invasive procedure in an operating or procedure room) because the exhalation valve allows unfiltered exhaled air to escape into the sterile field."

Winter and very dry here so I haven't had a fog issue. One thought, there are window/glass cleaners that reduce the fog, often used in bathrooms to keep the mirror clear. Was a long time ago so don't remember the brand. I will search.

Bud

Quick search "glass cleaner that eliminates bathroom fog" and saw many. I didn't recognize any so you'll have to pick.

It doesn’t matter which mask I use, my glasses still fog up. Maybe there is some special mask for this? I do not know what to do

Make sure the strap in back is up high. I had a round surgical mask on yesterday, ( Although, I need an N-95) & I could smell old tobacco smoke emanating off someone in the store. I realized that my mask was gapping in the top because my elastic strap was too low in back..

The two strap masks would be more secure.

You can test it at home with a saccharin spray or peppermint spray sprayed outside the mask. See if you can smell it.

I started using surgical masks too fairly soon. Sold by chinese brand that I could verify. N95 was nowhere to be found, unless pay crazy prices. A year later, my feeling is that the chance of infection is low enough as long as it doesn't have my name on it. I don't go to work in crowded place, already in habit of cleaning my hands out of homedepot and something new I do is not mix change into the wallet and iron the cash when enough builds. Hands were lot drier last winter but no cracks.

I noted at HD, yesterday, they have an entire middle aisle gondola set up with hand sanitizers, masks, gloves, and any other item used for this dreaded disease. Seems like their marketing department ordered supplies in haste during the first of last year, but supplies were low. Now the supply exceeds their need. Easy to find if you need that sort of thing. My one surgical mask is in my ash tray (I don't smoke, so I keep it there). I've worn it twice to doctor visits. General health, vitamins, sunshine, getting out of the house, good nutrition, all will help combat it. Don't rely on David Fauci and his multiple layered mask regimen. There's silly and then there's stupid.

You can just soak your cash in 70% Isopropyl alcohol & it dries pretty fast.

The best protective mask now people use during the pandemic is N95 Masks. The National Institute of occupational safety and health, also known as IS, recommended this N95 mask mainly for health professionals with 95 percent filtration proficiency against certain non-oil-based particles. The respirator fuses 3M's exclusive innovation with cutting-edge electrostatically charged microfiber channel media intended for simplicity of respiration. This respirator is good with an assortment of glasses and sunglasses.

@Anaucolung welcome to the forums. For all intents and purposes the "plandemic" is over in North America. No one is wearing a mask unless they are immunocompromised, which I think is right. You may have problems in the UK.
