Need gutters for my shed, wanted to go with seamless and hoping to find a company that will make them onsite and leave all the installation hardware. The shed is 10x18, gutters will go on the 18 foot side, how much overhang should I ask for? Should the gutter stop at the edge of the fascia, or go slightly past it to collect what comes off the overhang? I checked my house and it is a little different in different sections.

I don't like them too proud of the rake boards, but level with the rage edge is the sweet spot for me.

We make them so they are 1/4in more than the shingle overhang.

Pro roofing/siding warehouses have gutters 20' long, if you can get it home. Delivery cost is high, but could be lower than a gutter company to make you a couple.

With things the way they are I am sure there are some smaller contractors out there with gutter machines who would come to your location and run it off for you. On a small job like that you might even get it installed for about the same as the retail material purchase price.



Also if you are in or near a town of any size there is most likely someone who does custom lengths in shop.


The custom made gutters are usually made from heavier stock that off the shelf runs.


I have not seen the 20 foot runs for a number of years.

I would first clad/aluminum the fascia and rake boards.

Then have the gutters installed and be done with it.

In my neck of the woods you can't do it yourself for less.
