Hello all:
I have a reading light (about 40watts) which I use to read before turning out the light at night to sleep. I've noticed sometimes the light fades for a few seconds and then gets bright again. There's no one using power elsewhere so the only thing it could be is fridge, furnace or water heater kickin in and drawing power. Any ideas?

Thanking you in advance.

If this happens all over the house youu need to call your power company ASAP. If it only happens on one circuit in the house you need to look for a loose neutral connection either in the panel or as part of the circuit wiring.

Are you really sure theres nothing else drawing power,
like a pump or motor ?
If not it sure sounds like a loose connection some where !
Could even be the lamp base.
Try another lamp.
Try another outlet.
