Hi to all, I was wondering if there was any benifit from using more than than 1 layer of 6mil poly for my crawl space? I was also wondering if ti would sweat between the layers and mold? Thanks in advance for any help, pwa

Don't double layer, just get the sheeting thicker.

And what is it you're wrapping in plastic in a crawl space? I hope it's just the floor...

Hi, Yes I am just doing the floor and I have affixed it to the foundation wall.I have about 2 miles of 8 mil by 3' and used that to go around the inside figuring it would be easier to handle when putting it on the foundation.Now I can attach the 6 mil to the perimeter.I didnt know if it would be good to have more then 1 layer or not?

I think it may collect water between them over the course of time. It may only be negligable amounts and mold won't really grow as there is no "food" between the plastic, but unless the plastic seaming is done very well, there may be moisture accumulation over the course of time.
