much hotter spot on floor

this is just an odd one... I put quikrete 2 part epoxy down on my floor about a month ago, and there is one spot on the floor that turned white, the epoxy was a dark gray tint, with a clear coat over it, but last night I was trying to figure out how to get rid of that spot that turned white, following quikrete's (valspars) instructions... but noticed something odd...

when i stood on the spot barefoot it felt HOT! thought I was just imagining this, had my wife stand on it then stand 2 ft away she said whys this feel hot?... got my thermal cam out.... its 20! degrees hotter then the rest of the floor only where the white spot is....

this is in the garage and nothing goes under the floor, what in the world would cause this?

if you look at it on FLIR its glowing hot only in the circle where the white spot is and immediately after it its cold as the rest of the floor (70 degrees is the average floor temp) but its 92 degrees where the spot is...

we did an experiment to make sure it wasn't just holding heat.. put a TON of ice on it to try to cool it down, within 20 minutes all the ice was water. and the floor temp was only down to 60 degrees but heated up about 1 degree a half minute and right back to 92 degrees within minutes

IDEAS?!

The core of the earth is a molten magma. You have a crack in the earths mantle, under the floor, that's allowing this magma to come to the surface.
If you're lucky, the magma will heat your house in the Winter.
If you're unlucky, the magma will burst throught the floor and melt your car.
There could be other explanations.

OoOo maybe insurance will pay for a new house when it burns it down , would save all this renovation money  j/k

I can't seem to figure it out..... its just a slab that is 6" thick sitting on gravel no pipes (except for the drain in the middle which runs no where near the hot spot)... no duct, no electrical under slab

"Act of God", you're screwed with the insurance.
Is this a new issue? The epoxy turned white due to the heat, it didn't cause it. Something is going on under the slab to discolor the epoxy.
Any hot springs in the area?
How big an area is this?
I'm sticking to the magma theory for now.

its about a 1 foot in diamater circle
Hate to spoil this with a better living through chemistry explanation but the resins are not done curing and you are still experiencing the catalytic reaction between part a and part b. If you used outdated resins, and box stores are notorious for selling such, this could go on indefinitely. You may never get a complete and proper cure.

Just one other thing to ask. Are you sure it is a circle? It doesn't look like Jesus, the Virgin Mary or Lucifer? Could make money off tickets to something like that.

yes its a circle, but this has gotten weirder..... this afternoon it was the same temp as the floor...... and 6 hours later its now 10 degrees cooler then the rest of the floor  wtf I'm so lostand how outdated could it be? the production date on the can was just 3 months ago, didn't think 2 part epoxy went bad that fast!
my opinion on your hotspot is that is it most likely a drain that was supposed to be installed in your garage but was perhaps forgotten about...being that it is exactly 1 foot in diameter. most drains i have seen are 1 foot in diameter. there is probably warm air seeping through the drain channel causing this to warm up and cool down with the temperature change in the area that the drain is supposed to exit. i highly doubt it is molten lava sending heat through a perfectly round 1 foot crack under your garage unless u are on top o f a volcano or something.

Anal retentive lava.
It could happen.
