this is just an odd one... I put quikrete 2 part epoxy down on my floor about a month ago, and there is one spot on the floor that turned white, the epoxy was a dark gray tint, with a clear coat over it, but last night I was trying to figure out how to get rid of that spot that turned white, following quikrete's (valspars) instructions... but noticed something odd...
when i stood on the spot barefoot it felt HOT! thought I was just imagining this, had my wife stand on it then stand 2 ft away she said whys this feel hot?... got my thermal cam out.... its 20! degrees hotter then the rest of the floor only where the white spot is....
this is in the garage and nothing goes under the floor, what in the world would cause this?
if you look at it on FLIR its glowing hot only in the circle where the white spot is and immediately after it its cold as the rest of the floor (70 degrees is the average floor temp) but its 92 degrees where the spot is...
we did an experiment to make sure it wasn't just holding heat.. put a TON of ice on it to try to cool it down, within 20 minutes all the ice was water. and the floor temp was only down to 60 degrees but heated up about 1 degree a half minute and right back to 92 degrees within minutes
IDEAS?!
