This is what I believe is a gas vent for the septic, looks like there was a pvc pipe in a metal pipe caped with a mushroom top, which is bent a bit. Is it as simple as buying a new pvc, cutting to size and putting the mushroom cap back on it and it will be as it was before I ran it over with the mower? Should I be concerned with anything getting into the pipe? Can I get another mushroom cap or try to reshape and put back on?

Any possibility of a picture? You should be able to fix that easily---Just need a better idea of that vent.

The septic vent is normally a simple repair, you get a new one, and glue it in place, else use a coupling. Done deal. Get it fixed before a skunk moves in.
