I purchased a commercial cooler and I need to haul it. My question is I need to transport it and wondering if I can lay it down on it's back to transport. Appreciate your thoughts.

Generally it is ok if you stand it up for a few hours before starting it so oil goes back where it is supposed to be. I wait till the next day.

I would not recommend laying any refrigeration unit on its side or back. Refrigeration compressors have oil in them. If laid on their back or side that oil can run into refrigeration lines. When stood back up the oil may not be able to run back down into the compressor, depending on the shape of the lines.
