Hopefully this is a quick question. I'm finishing the basement and getting close to hanging the drywall for the ceiling. Do I screw the drywall right to the joists or is there another way I should do it?
do you utilities in the ceiling ? if so, drywalling is not normally done. if you are doing it anyway, yes, just screw the dry wall to the joists. but, do yourself a favor = search "butt boards" and use them.
