She has a 2 story gambrel with a breezeway off the left side, which then attaches the 3 stall garage,she is in a area where they get 100 or so inches of snow a year.... the question is, where needs and ice and snow? just the bottom and such? or would it be worth it to do the whole house and breezeway leaving felt for the garage? the cost to do the whole thing vs. the needed areas is roughly 12-1500 bucks.

any insight is greatly appreciated

What is the pitch of the roof?

i'm not sure of the pitches, the top can be walked on, rather steep but still walkable, the next part is way too steep, the breezeway isn't that steep, I can snap some pics tomm. to help

The Ice and Water Shield should be installed in all of the Code required locations, PLUS where the garage roof and the Gambrel Roof tie in together, along with any Valleys and other roof to wall intersections and roof protrusions.
