Hi All
I'm glad to be here at the DIY chatroom - As a DIY'er myself!

Also New to this forum today - Was searching for how to remove mold from unpainted drywall and haven't found anything current.

Have mold in the basement on drywall that does not have paint or primer on it yet. oops!

Anyone have suggestions for articles I can search for on google? I did find a pretty good article on mold removal here:

but it doesn't offer any tips for removing mold from bare drywall.

Thank you in advance!

Remove the drywall, find the moisture source and solve that problem then replace the drywall.

I agree! since this is in the basement the odds are high the mold started on the backside of the drywall. No sense in going further until the moisture issues is taken care of.
Thanks again Mark!

I ran across this article about removing mold from drywall - that mirrors your ideas which is to be 100% positive the mold has been eliminated - before installing any new building materials.

Hopefully, this works as planned!
