Having issues with mold in the grout lines. I have used caulk but the water keeps getting under it and causing mold issues.

I have dug out the moldy part seen in the pictures.

Does caulk not adhere to grout? Suggestions?

Use some Clorox soft scrub for the grout.

Don't put caulk over grout.

That is not possible, I have to put something over the grout to seal around the shower frame and prevent water from running into the bathroom.

Grout is ok.

The only thing moldy is the old caulking which has been removed.

What type of caulk or sealant will adhere to grout?

I'd remove the shower door and replace it with a curtain.

Doing that, and patching the mounting holes, to me, is less painful than dealing with silicone caulk residue that is all over everywhere.
