mold behind wood panelling

previous home owner put wood panelling in our basement 30 years ago. The basement has been leaking for years from rain getting in (we plan to fix that problem) I just wonder does anyone know if mold is a problem if it's behind the wood panelling? I cleaned some off of the front part with bleach after our last flood. I'm sure behind it has grown very thick. Just wonder if we should worry about it.

Yes it is a major health problem. And is very common since even building codes required the incorrect method to finish basement walls. Much science has not addressed this. You need to remove all the paneling and dispose of it. Remove and dispose of all the insulation. Clean the studs with water and bleach. Wear a mask and gloves. Read more on how to do a basement finishing properly.
