I have a Moen pulldown faucet and recently replaced my sink. Previously I had no issues with the faucet not retracting, however, now it will only retract all the way if the water is turned off. Otherwise it is stuck wherever I have pulled it out to. I Have moved the weight all over the hose trying to fix it. It appears that it isn't hitting anything to restrict it from sliding. I am open for all suggestions given that everything I have found says move the weight.

I wonder if your comment “now it will only retract all the way if the water is turned off” is not quite accurate. If you’ve been running hot water and turn off the flow, does the sprayer retract? My guess is not, in which case the symptoms point towards thermal expansion causing some binding. You haven’t uploaded any photos, so we’re blind, but it seems that you’ve reinstalled the faucet somewhat differently than it was previously. Is there maybe a twist in the sprayer hose that get more pronounced when the temperature goes up, causing the binding?

I totally get that. It does retract all the way as soon as the water is turned off (hot or cold). I have taken the hose all the way out and made sure it is untwisted also. Let me see if I can get a photo on here for you.
