I agree. Crown really is a nice detail.
Seems those are polyurethane. I put up polyurethane crown a while back. I struggled with keeping it straight, not wavy. That was my first time putting up crown. Your walls are not flat, your ceilings are not flat, and urethane molding is not rigid. In retrospect, softwood molding (very rigid) would be a superior product.
