My microwave will not stop running unless I open the door. when the time is up or I hit the stop button the light turns off and the carousel stops turning but the microwave continues heating what is inside.The only way to turn off the heating element is to unplug it or open the door. See the video below.

Any ideas?

From your video, it looks like it's functioning fine.

How old is it? if less than a year old, contact the manufacture for a replacement.

Depending on age, it may be a control board issue. If so, you may want to consider a new microwave.

Go to repairclinic.com and type in your model number for some troubleshooting tips or go to the manufacture's website for additional help.

Wow, didn't know the capacitor still holds juice when unplugged - good thing to know...depending on how much the control board costs, I'd just replace the microwave.
