Hi All, While my microwave installation over the range, I realized that the vent outlet( rear) of the microwave is not aligning with the vent inside the building wall. Currently, I have internal circulation enabled for the microwave but I am not liking it.
The gap between the drywall opening and the vent in the building wall is max 4 inches so space is very limited to build any vent any ductwork.
Please advise can I just cut the drywall and align with microwave vent and let the air circulate in the drywall and building wall gap( I cant change the location of building vent as its connecting multiple apartments) or some way to build a duct to connect the two vents. Please see the image attached.
