Just bought a house with an over the range GE Spacesaver microwave. There is power to the outlet, the fuse in the microwave checks out fine. Any other possibilities? There is no sign of power at all.

We just bought the house and it's about 10 years old. I'm quite sure it the original with the house. So, I would say 9-10 years. Could it be an issue with the chord? What I can see looks fine, and if it used to work I can't imagine someone pulling it out just for fun.

I had one last just over 10 years - counter unit
When it went I tested power inside the MW cabinet
The plug was fine, had power to the inside of the MW
It wasn't worth it to troble shoot further

At 10 years old I'd just buy a new one
If the outlet has power, & no noticeable damage to the cord

You may be right. Maybe it should just be replaced. I thought perhaps it might be a simple repair (like a fuse).
