I am replacing a couple of doors in my 90's home. The measures for the old door are 79 1/2 and 31 5/8. New doors come in 80 x 32. Will a door listed at 80 x 32 fit (guess I'm asking if 80 x 32 is like "nominal" size)? Thanks.!

I will be needing to be fit, your best bet is to find a real door supplier shop, order the doors and make an appointment, Drop off the old doors with the hinge halves still on and later pick up the new doors. They have it cut to match the old hinges on and holes drilled. I had 6 done a couple years ago and they charged for the doors and 20 each for the machining.

thanks, Neal. But who know when a door shop will be open under Covid 19. Not an essential service. And it sounds expensive.
Actually the door shop came in cheaper for the doors than HD, they mostly sell wholesale so they likely thought they were charging to much. :wink2:

Doors aren't essential? :biggrin2:
